Andrea is a strange guy...Born and raised in a small village in the Rieti county, center of Italy, in a region called Valle del Salto, after 6 years lived in Roma, he moved since a couple of years in Courmayeur, right under the monte bianco, the highest mountain in europe...he says he hates the chaos of big cities...

First time i've met him was some years ago at a hip hop jam where he was invited to paint a wall, when he was still living in Roma, but it's been after he moved up on the alps, when we began to snowboard toghether, that i've had the possibility to know him better.

He approached Hip Hop as a DJ back in 1987, with a couple of belt spinning turntables and a mixer assembled by himself...and in fact even if as a skater, he's been influenced by other music genders, He knows incredibly well any Run Dmc or Beastie Boys song (cause nobody can do it like Mix Master can do it)....

Andrea is like this. A simple open minded guy; who loves to live quietly...on the snow, with a board strapped on, and cruising on the concrete, on an old skateboard. He paints since 1992, and despite he beagn like all the other writers of the roman scene, painting everywhere, he soon matured a custom personal way to cope with aerosol art. You won't find Haero, that is his tag, in painting a subway car or a train, neither in tagging around, but if you got a chance to see him live in a jam be sure that he'll emerge, other than for style and technique, just because of his natural talent in drawing.

Andrea always says that writing, and Hip Hop in general, should be developed minding the society in wich you are living in, starting for sure from the original principles, but staying away from all those HH currents developped in the american ghettos.

He says that you should get all the posivity in hip hop and merge it with your culture...this is Haero philosophy: if in some american ghettos ignorance, poverty, basic instincts or any other sociologic factor are taking to fights and gunfire, or to wreck the city with spraypaint, often without any artistic will, or to other phenomenons now so "in" even in Europe, you shouldn't evolve the Hip Hop starting from all that, but instead from the fundaments of your culture.

For this reason Haero, even if using the spraycan orthodoxically, that is whitout mixing aerosol art with other artistic expressions, he likes to paint on canvases or other unusual surfaces, instead of the usual wall. Each one of his works is the expression of a maturity pushing him to search for a more and more perfect spraycan handling, through which he make walls speak with never casual charachters and writings, with a precise desk work behind .

Andrea is a strange guy i've said...strange because different from the mass of writers around him, against the stream and all the new trends that are influencing the last generations of B-Boys...a writer in control pushing his work further with the strenght of whom believes in the choiches he made. Choiches that, even if he wasn't the artist he is, i fully respect.
